The swarm was awesome. Were they individually keyframed(nightmare) or dynamics?
What about the animated TV?

Great Job

Really great spot! I love the whole dirty/black glow look. Which particle system tool/software did you use?

Nice!!

hey,
the first shot was keyed with some particles
all the shots in the middle were particles
and the final shot was a little bit of keyeing but mainly dynamics.

All done in XSI :D

Hey Neil, great to see you post this animation up here; it's a really well put together piece (I 'm particularly impressed with the transformation into the TV set towards the end...)

...in fact, you've actually managed to improve on last year's Animex intro, which is no mean feat (as I can remember being suitably wowed with that one at the time too).

Well done man!

Impressive dynamics work.
The disintegration at the end was the perfect cap. It said, "yeah that might have been cool and stylish before, but its still about the fun."
love,hen

Thanks Scob

hen, for us it was about going back to the first thing you do when studying animation - the bouncing ball! so we wanted to do something with a ball, but then it turned into 500 and something!
