Hi. I need a new psu quick to replace the old one (350W) that died after four years.
I am on a budget, and need some advice.

looking at these
http://www.directron.com/eg465pve.html
http://www.directron.com/w0070ruc.html

My specs:

AMD XP1800
160G Maxtor Sata HD
40G Maxtor IDE HD
512mb PC 2700 Ram
Geforce 6800GT
Chaintech SKT600
DVD Burner
CD Burner
Wacom 8x6
Volcano 7+ HSF

Yeah, I want build a new one soon, but for now, I just need a quick fix. No, I don't really care if I have to buy a new PSU later on.
I guess what I want to know is will this be enough to run smoothly for the time being? Any advice?

Edit: Maybe I should add this, so it is clear why I am asking.
It worked until I added the 40G Maxtor drive. After just a day or two of acting rather wierd, it quit completely and wont power up. I know its the psu because I have tested another that works. So will 430 be enough? thanx.

Here is a link to a list of good Power supplies (less likely to fail) and a list of power supplies to avoid (there are some cheap psu's on the market that are not very reliable).

as for knowing how many watts you'll need, here's a power consumption calculator I derived from a quick google search.

Oh and a good website to check out for comp parts is http://www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com/)

Right now in my computer I've been using a 430w thermaltake psu for quite a while without any problems. Just make sure that whatever you choose is reliable and compliant with your motherboard. Hope this helps.

In the past I just picked Antec. But I gotta say though my last PSU I bought a OCZ520W has been great. Its quiet, delivers lots of power and all around great. I'd recommend the OCZ520W PSU. Leaves plenty of room for future upgrades and will totally run your system you currently have and then some.

Antecs seem to be slipping, a lot of people lately reporting them burning out.
Some respected PSU brands are:

PC P&C (not a budget PSU)

FSP Group

SeaSonic

Enermax

If you want to buy good PSU, you should buy this, ASUS pure power 550watt or ThermalTake 460,550 watt.
