View Full Version : Prb with RenderMan for Maya and occlusion and displacement

Did someone try to mix Negative displacement and occlusion in RrenderManForMaya??

I got a problem when the image is computing. Negative displacement is rendering totaly black with occlusion.
Did someone have a tip to resolve this problem.

You have to enable "Trace Displacements" so that the occlusion-shader can include any displacement into its computations. Consult your docs where the setting is hidden, as it's found in different places with different Rendermen.

And be prepared to wait alot longer for your images... ;)
