Hello!
I have done avi without frame compression. I want to compress it.
But i have problem with color's brightness:
if I use divx or xvid codecs - the result avi became a bit darker, then uncompressed one.

cinepak - all colors have MUCH less saturation, than uncompressed. Is it normal?

Is there any codec which is like jpg for bmp? After jpg compression all colors stay bright. I need something like this. Help please!

It's pretty normal to have to color correct the final delivered movie on output. Different codecs shift colors and brightness in different ways. Thats why I usually render out some lossless file format(huf yuv for avi, animation or png for mov) and then use something like sorenson squeeze or qtpro for the final compression.

Thank you for help! It is the way, thank you for description!
After all, i have found Intel IYUV codec, which compresses without reduction of brightness. But the size of avi is 1/3 of uncompressed avi and decompression speed can be better, because sometimes player have pauses because of decompression.
