hi mates,

I have to do a repetitive task on max with some huge files and I have tought that maybe somebody can make me a simple script to automate the process. I don't know anything about programming scripts.

I need a script which... after I open a file (around 7000 different objects, sharing 582 maps at the diffuse slot):

1.- The script attach all objects which share the same bipmap at the diffuse slot.
2.- Because after the attach of several objects I suppose that the script will generate objects with a multimaterial with a lot of repeated submaterials, I need that the script cleans that by reapplying a single standard material (adopting any of the submaterials will be fine).

...when I save..., the resulting file will have 582 objects (one per bitmap) instead of 7000.
