Our Artists define & create visual effects by bringing static environments to life through compelling visuals. Job Description:
An FX Developer/Artist at EA will work closely with Artists and Engineers to design FX animation techniques and workflows for use on game projects. The successful candidate will animate in-game FX like fire, water, dust, explosions, etc. to help create more life-like environments and characters. As well, this person will create preliminary animations to help engineers and game designers visualize what the FX can/should look like in the final game. And, in general, work within the limitations of a real-time game engines to create cool looking visual effects for games.
Skills Required:
Proven track record in visual effects - minimum 3 years of previous professional work experience.
Ability to create & place compelling particle & other effects in game within engine constaints.
Technical knowledge of Maya and deep understanding of general 3D principles.
Fluent in at least 2 - 3 programming/scripting languages (C and MEL preferred).
CS or related degree desired.
