Hey everyone

i know this must be really simple but i just cant figure it out..

basically in layer one i have a simple model of a foot with a UV map which i need to keep..

in Layer 2 is an identical object but with a different UV map which i need to copy to layer 1..

i cannot copy the geometry into layer 1 and delete the existing model as that would mess up my UV map originally in layer 1..

so basically i have tried the copy and paste UV map options but maybe i am doing it wrong as naff all happens..

so screen shot and help is much appreciated..

1- Go to layer 2 and select all the polygons in the UV window. (This is the map that you want to copy.)

2- In layer 1 create a second UV map with all the polys selected from the UV map in the second layer.(This is the target map. You can also use the same map name from layer 2 in layer 1 which should already exist)

3- Go to layer 2 and select all those polys in UV again. From menus go to Map/Texture/More/Copy UVs.

4- Go to new UV map in layer one and select all the polys.

5- From menus go to Map/Texture/More/Paste UVs.

6- You can select the extra points and clear them, from the map.

7- Drink more coffee :)

copy paste uv's will only work well if the point order is the same.
