View Full Version : surface baker question
fester 02-07-2006, 01:24 AM Hey there everyone. Quick question on surface baking. Does it matter what your camera settings are when you do the render to make the bake? meaning, does the amount of AA or camera resolution make a differece?
I've never used this before, but I have a project in the works that I will need to.
thanks for your help.

Camera won't affect Surface Bake res or AA. Those are set independently in Surface Baker itself.

Object mode bakes to a vertex map so the more vertices in your object the higher the resolution of the baked surface.
Note: in both modes the only relevant part the camera plays is that it has to see at least part of the object or Surface Baker won't start.
