design looks good, nice myst effect on the front page...yep:buttrock:
marc: probably directly in access, since its all asp. they could also have 'hand-coded' it themselves using ms sqlserver.
kool. I keep asking this everywhere but can someone reccomend me some asp books ranging from beginner to expert. thanx.

I have been waiting for ten minutes for it to load now. I will go for a cigarette and see what it's doing. Is that a progress meter on the right? I hope not cos it's still bloody empty!
That's weird, it doesn't like loading first time I click the link...strange. have to say it looks a little boooooring so far, site certainly doesn't do much for me. What's going to be so special about the T-X now? ('cept that it's female) Will it be made of gas?
marc: learnt everything I've needed from www.w3schools.com and www.htmlguru.com

Doubt it's Access. If your site is under a hundred users Access is ok, but over that and it's SQL or Oracle. And somehow I'm guessing they are getting hit by more then a hundred simultaneous users.... well at least I hope they are! :p
Cool site though.

Cool site. Some parts even better than 2advanced.com, but when i looked through the film crew i found out that the director is not James Cameron but some Jonathan Mostow :(
the site appears to be down... who crashed it?!!

I'm not going to see it until the day AFTER my birthday (which is
opening night)... but it's going to be in DC's best theater. :D

Arnie once said he would never do another film without Cameron on board, but I guess the smell of green has clouded his ethics. This film is going to be a basic holywood cookie cutter movie; theyre pissing on the franchise with the Killer T-chick fembot angle, theyre scraping the barrel for plots (Just how many droids did Skynet sent back then???).
I think it could have been far far better if it dealt with the resistance fighting in the future wars, with armies of Terminator and HK droids, and John Connor leading the fight against them. It could lead upto them destroying Skynet, and sending Kyle Reese and the Terminator back, bringing the trilogy full circle.
Still, I'd see it, just because it's Terminator; though my hopes are no where near raised. Mostow's previous films are hardly exceptional in quality (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Mostow,+Jonathan). U-571 LOLOLOL, though Breakdown was decent.

hmmmmm... another story flop?
I hope not
money money money
why does it have to be about the green?
Well, it's premature anyway. So my hopes are low, so that this movie will entertain me anyhow. Arnold will always be Arnold, so my expectations lie on him and the funky FX, but in regards to story, yeah, that plot doesn't seem very promosing.
I love the website though, haha, I hope the movie lives up to its website. I remember liking the Phantom Menace trailer more than the actual film... it's probably just me

i swear, if vin deisel were in it, i would not see it. The entire movie would be him saying one liners in his monotone like:
'im a cyborg from the future, bitch'
'do you ever get punched in the face for being the future leader of the resistance?'
'john conner, i want all that...in here'
of course, now that i think about it, most of arnolds movies just feature him saying one liners. meh, oh well.

Why did cameron not want to do it???
Aliens and Terminator 2 are the coolest movies I've ever seen...
At least there will be a t3 and with schwarznegger :)
What if as a plot they showed a prequel all set in the future warzone!

i learned asp off "ASP Developer's Guide" It doesn't go into some areas that much, but you can find out about advanced SQL and the other stuff at W3Schools (http://www.w3schools.com/asp/)

barley: The plot might actually be good.. the timeline changes in every movie.. T1: Terminator parts is found and research is begun in secret which will end in Skynet(Cyberdyne).. T2: Cyberdyne building is destroyed and the terminator parts also..but Arnie looses his left arm in the movie..which could be used for further research, also according to the books Cyberdyne Systems have research backup in other countries..this means that the terminator research has been delayed very much, because the chip is destroyed..this means that Skynet will not be completed in the year 1997..hope u can follow.. this means that there is a new timeline where Skynet will be builded much later (the original timeline is not altered..the future war) - well, go to the Terminator3.com forum, hardcore fans have a much more detailed version :)

Still waiting for the trailer though... :shame:
Sounds interesting, at least worth watching. I will watch it for the action and CG anyway.. But I don't think Cameron wanted to do it because so much would be riding on it, try to outdo yourself (T2). And usually, sequals are the only ones that make out big. By the time you get to the third movie, no one cares anymore. Having a movie like T3 under his name flop would make for a bad rep. And I bet he was just tired of the story/action. Who knows. Quit while your ahead. Granted we know the trilogies that don't follow this pattern for obvious reasons. It probably makes the story more interesting to end with T2, it's just the right amount to end with, as opposed to going on and overdoing it.
But that's me..

I also think theyre pandering to the 20 something male by putting a hot blonde semi-naked chick in the lead killer role.
I think the film would have been better, and the trilogy better served if it portrayed the future wars, or had taken ideas from the excellent comics.

T3 is aiming at a young teen or teen minded crowd. Good for selling toys and Micky D's but not for a plot.
Diehard -worked beyond the sequal- I'm looking forward to the next one-
Lethal Weapon -
worked beyond the sequal- I'm looking forward to the next one-
James Bond -was never a teen, yet.
Call me crazy but as a teen I thought most other teens were boring so I didn't like watching most teen movies and the like- But teens are cool- and cool teens can become even cooler adults-
Some Teen movie Exceptions- Back to the Future-House Party-Bill and Teds-Weird Science-

Well, from a story standpoint, if you want to be critcal about it, you cant actually change the future, just delay it. The advent of Skynet is integrated into the future by what happened in the past movies, past encounters. So it makes sence. But at the same time, you could say they are creating a paradox.
The original war with SkyNet never happens when it was supposed to now that the original evidence SkyNet was built on was destroyed with the destruction of Cyberdyne (part of it anyway). Thus, if Skynet in the future is changed, does this mean that Conner and friends are the only ones that possess the original truth about Skynet? OR, were their memories changed when they changed the future? Theoredicly, when the chip and arm were destroyed in the molten metal in T2, Arnie would have cesed to exist, thus the timeline permanantly altered because what happened in the past movies could not have ever happened (or at least happened differently). Would Conner still have become the leader of the resistance? OR, in the grand scheme of things, were the machines sent back in time from the new timeline in expectance of the destruction of the parts?
"What a mind frag..."
Im sure this has come up a million times on the T3 forums.. hehe.. This is probably why Cameron didnt want to do the T3.. :scream:

Sieb: You are right..the future war is delayed because most of the Cyberdyne research is gone; also the chip and the arm. Thus their number one researcher, Dyson Miles is dead. But in T2 Arnie gets he's left arm ripped of, when the T-1000 pushed him into some machine..so the research is delayed very much. T3 takes place in 2005, 10 years after T2 (1995).
(on Terminator3.com you can see an LEFT terminator arm on some kind of research machine) :D

As much as I love the first two Terminator movies, something tells me this one just isn't going to do it for me. But I could be wrong.
