View Full Version : Particle Flow + UVW Map?

Hey,

I urgently need some help. Im making a short tv spot where the tv logo blows away like dust. I am using partciel flow and have made the animation. Im afraid its my first time using it, and im finding it difficult to texture. I want to have a texture (of the logo) mapped onto the particles, and then they get whisked away by some wind. I cannot see how to uv map the particles, i just want a planar map of the logo on them. How can i do this and have control over the uvw map? Thanks :)

Pflow tools (http://www.orbaz.com/index-html.html) has an operator that might help. You might want to look at this (http://scriptspot.com/bobo/mxs5/pflow/pflow__inherit_UV.htm) as well. Hope this helps

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, i dont think its what i need though. I cannot buy this product since this has to be done for tomorrow. Im looking into that tutorial now, looks pretty complex though, thought it would be easier?

If anyone could help it would be great...time is almost gone. I have now used a camera-map per pixel map but that doesnt support animated objects, so its no good. I cannot bleieve that such a simple thing is not possible..

The Mapping Object operator from PFTools:Box#1 can do exactly that. The operator was created just for the reason that for this effect it is hard to do it by other means.

Look at the animation "Mapping Object Wipes" in the Orbaz Gallery: http://www.orbaz.com/gallery.html (middle of the second row) as an example.
