View Full Version : Wave generation software?
AzOne 02-04-2006, 08:54 AM Hi,
There used to be an app for Mac OS 9 called Waves World. Provide it a grayscale map and it will generate a 2D top view of how waves interact with the map. I used to use it with Image2Mesh. Is there anything similar for OS X?
Thanks.

You could always use Psunami or maybe even RealFlow.
You can also try the SimpleWave shader applied over a well tesselated Ubershape. The shader has displacement and can be layered.. May be not the most powerfull option, but worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I do have Simple Wave. Never knew it did displacements!
I must start to read the manual ;-)
P.S. In case anyone wondered about the original Wavesworld for OS 9, I found a link...but unfortunately the download is no longer available.
