Hey,
I'm 15 years old and I've been doing 3D work since I was 13 and a half. I'm not very good at it, but I still try, and I believe I get better every time I make more things. When I was 13 and a half, I discovered a free program called Wings3D. I used it for a while but realized that I couldn't have all the rendering capabilities that other programs had. However, I didn't know much about 3D back then, and I didn't realize that Wings3D might have been better than what I use now. When I was about 14 years old I discovered another free program that was better at rendering things and I liked it alot better. So I started using that one. It took me a couple of months to get used to the interface and the style of modelling since I was so used to the Wings interface. But, I got the jist of it. One year after I started blendering, I am posting my first presentable WIP. A creature that is yet to be named.

So, here's what I've done of my creature so far:

First I drew it without a nose, but it was too plain, so I added nostrals, but they didn't look too good. So I added vines coming out of the nostrals. So, now, it is a creature that is being owned by vines growing from inside him. Now I want some critiques!

Alright, no critiques yet. But, I'm patient(no I'm not... please critique). Anyway, I figured that a wireframe might help see how bad I am so you can be like "hey, hey, hey you in the bad model. YOU SUCK AT MODELLING! GIVE UP NOW!!! THIS MODEL SUCKS". Well, let's hope you don't say that and actually give me constructive criticism. Anyway, here is a wireframe:

It's really hard to post criticisms for things that there is no reference for. It is what it is, i think the modeling aspect of it is pretty good, it looks rather clean, so good job there, but we're gonna need a bit more info, maybe a concept sketch or something.

i don't need ur sketch about it .i wanna see it textured. u do a good job ,it is the best thing to make 3d rather than wasting time playing around like other boys in ur age. u make a difference.congrats u.keep the work up more.the face is great.make it finish.

Here's my sketch. I plan to remove the vines, add a little bit of roughness to the skin, and I haven't done the legs. I want some type of "aquatic" ears for him. Not really ears.

Hey. I took out the vines on his nose that looked tacky. I modified his lips a bit, and I started on the chest. I think I'm going to bed. I've done enough for today. I can really see myself going off-track in the future when it comes to finishing the body. I am extremely bad at anatomy. Seeing as nobody ever taught me about it, and I was simply too lazy to look up on the internet. I wanted a teacher and exercises, not just books. But I learned alot from see all the polyflow going around CGTalk. I have been around here for about a year coming here ever day for hours just to examine every model. Wishing I could be as good as modeller as 99% of all the people in CGTalk, and also wishing I could be as friendly and welcoming. Thank you CGTalk, you've taught me alot  Anyway, here's my update. I hope you like, and crits please:

Hey, so. Here's an update. I also changed the concept of the creature, so, I will also post a sketch up of my new concept pretty soon. I want some critiques on the anatomy on every little piece of detail available on this guy. Please, all critique is very appretiated and needed. I also would like to keep the thread alive, so keep posting. Here's an update:

Fernando. Keep modeling! This is looking really good; and if you're only 15 and you have this understanding of poly flow and 3d form already, you'll be taking my job soon :) Nothing to critique so far... it looks very competent and professional. just waiting to see more of him.
