CollabBATTLE "EXPLORATION" - CrammC and Ojah

After a long discussion and OpenCanvas sketching, we came up with the following idea!

We decided to use a female character, who is exploring a long round staircase, decorated with many paintings of different people. Their gloomy eyes follow her every step, and the agony can be seen on their faces as they already know what's going to happen to the woman.
As she passes an empty painting, hands creep out of the white canvas, trying to grab her and imprison her in the Gallery of the Damned. The woman is terrified, but knows not what miserable fate awaits her.

So, that's about it. Concept sketches will follow.

this is a very original idea u have here! I somehow get the feeling u were inspired by lots of horror movies ;)
Out of curiosity, in what kind of enviroment will this be taking place?

And after a second night of sketching and typing, we have made some decissions, so there should be some concepts real soon (of course that is not my responsability).
We have determined that the style of our piece will be a bit Tim Burtonesque (Corpse Bridish), but with some alice in wonderland.. So expect a stylized character within a dark fairytale enviroment with some gothic stuff(gargoyles, decorated picture-frames).
Furthermore we have decided that our camera should be close to the woman, tilted down to suggest the feeling of a very long staircase(with a lot of imprisoned people).

So, thats about it after a few hours of crappy wacomming (don't worry, we wont post those). Updates will come soon, so better be ready for something errr, new?

Well, the very first sketches have been made. It isn't much, but at least we're on our way ;)

Fashion design certainly isn't my thing...

Anyway, besides some extra sketches of the female's head and/or positions, we will also make a colored sketch of our idea later on. Stay tuned!

Some extra simple sketches. It really is going slow, I admit. :) Also, don't mind the dead groundhog on the lady's head (which most people will mistake for a haircut).

Nice dress! Ill start modelling very soon.... seems like it will be a breeze to model somethin like that... not!
