Haven't been doing anything in 3D lately. So I thought I would do a simple excerise tonight.

Would like suggestions on how to make the snow in the globe look better. Right know I am using several emitters.

Done with Cinema 4D v7

It's nice but the scene and the lighting don't do it any justice

Thanks Adrian Guy,

This is still very much a WIP and really just an excerise, since it has been so long since I done anything in 3D.

I am think about putting it in a window looking out over a beach or tropical scene and giving it a title "Wishing for Snow"

What do you think?

Hi mate,

Well its a good start but needs a few things, id try and do a fake hdri render, get that sphere looking more realistic, I like the idear of the beach scene.

Also try setting up some deflectors in the spheres to stop the particles coming out.

Ok here is an update. I have added the window, changed the glass texture, and worked on my snowflakes swirling and staying in the globe. I am still having trouble with escaping snow, but this time I removed them in Photoshop [:p]

I would like a better photo for the background, but I don't have one. The one I used is something I found on the web. If ya'll have a good tropical beach photo and would like to donate for the cause, I would be thankfull. I would put in a good word for you with Santa [:D]

The title: "Wishing for snow"
