If so, then put those destructive habits to work as an FX Artist in our exciting Starcraft Ghost console game at Blizzard Entertainment! Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating the release of this deeply artistic game from our award winning games company, Blizzard Entertainment but we need your FX help first to take this game even further!


Based out of sunny Irvine – a stone’s throw from Newport Beach and 40 miles south of LA, Blizzard Entertainment's track record includes nine #1-selling games, multiple Game of the Year awards and most recently has topped the 5 million mark for online game subscribers – the largest multi-massive online roll-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft.

This is a full time position which means there are fantastic perks and you can settle in, dig into your project and grow with your team.


In this dynamic and growing environment, the ideal candidate will have a discerning eye for detail and an ability to breathe life into in-game worlds through dramatic and dynamic effects, while still keeping the games running at an acceptable frame rate.

Responsibilities:

Design, create, and implement a wide variety of real-time special effects.
Create particle, geometry, and texture effects that simulate explosions, muzzle flashes, smoke, fire, steam, fog, etc.
Work closely with programming team to implement effects.
Work in a dynamic team environment where individual effort is critical to a successful project.
Requirements:

2+ years creating real-time special effects for video games.
Expert-level skills in Photoshop and 3D Studio Max.
Expert-level skills in 3D graphics, particle systems, and shaders.
Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
Ability to design, self-direct, and organize your work.
Love for Games

This is a full-time position in Irvine, CA; internships and part-time positions are not available at this time.
