Hi Just wanted to get some feedback on this project of mine. I basically just saw this concept art by Nathan Campbell and I just wanted to model it right away. Didn't think I'd actually get anywhere but I kinda stuck with it for a while. Got the shape and some preliminary detail going right now, but I will add alot of detail further on. I'm thinking alot of cables and equipment and also some weaponcompartments inside the rim of the engines.
I used alot of converting to subds to get the creases I wanted, but the result is quite expensive. The platform is just a silly idea of a "showcase" thingie I had a while back. I might do the final scene with it though. Like a repair pad with alot of cables and workshop junk.
Hope you like it.
I will post more of this as I finish it.

I can't believe nobody has commented on this yet. This is very good so far. I downloaded the same pic quite a while ago just because its such a cool design. Nathan Campbell is an awesome concept artist. keep posting updates. I can't wait to see this thing textured!!

This thing got a great potential, the mesh details are awesome :D
If the same work and detailing are put into the textures this will be a masterpiece

That looks great, I like the detail. Reminds me of something from Metal Gear or otherwise.

I wouldn't think so, you are giving credit where credit is due.

Thanks for the comments guys. Really appreciate it :D
Been experimenting with texturing and shading. I'm not very good at this but I'm finding it very interessting indeed. I'm thinking heavy camoflagepaint on this models panels. It is supposed to be moderatly weathered, and I want the scale to be quite big.
This is my first ok result from experimenting. You can notice some seams probably. These are actually intentional, as I will try make a slight bevel on these using a tiny gradient on the bump, making it look like panels, And maybe some small screws along the panel edges.
Please make suggestions. :)

Haven't really gotten anything done on this project the last week but I finally got back on it again. Layed out the texture on the Engine fuselage here and did the basic. I will add details in the texture like white patterns, small labels and perhaps some grime later on. I am totally blank on what to use on the rotorblades. I want your advice on this. I'm wondering what carbon fibre would look like.
Next up is making the hatch mechanism for all the equipment\maintnance\weapons ports on the side there.
