I like it alot. Great concept and the model seems to be coming along well. Only 1 week left, but I'm sure you'll be able to pull it off!
I would suggest a few things, going by what you have so far. Make the horns thicker, keep them as long as they are now, but make them thick like in the concept drawing. Also, you could make the feet smaller and the torso bigger, like in the drawing. Also, don't forget that nose ring! Looking forward to seeing your progress,

almost done with modeling.. I'm at 2100 tris.. any tips on where else would be good to use more detail?

Great work! I think you could best use those remaining polys by making that axe for him, and by adding more detail/smoothness to the toga. Keep it coming!

Looks pretty close :) I'd suggest giving yourself one more knuckle on the fingers so he can grip the axe nicely... mabey make the fingers a but larger too- to me they look tiny compared to the concept sketch. Good shit tho man :)
