I'm reposting these as they went away with the server backup. Someone had mentioned shockwave and Cinema and that Plasma or Max might be better. (I think...don't remember for sure)

Anyway, here's a game I did using Director 8.5.1 and Cinema R7.3
Tennessee Titans' Joe Nedney Kicking Game (http://titansonline.com/fan_zone/arcade_games/FieldGoalFrenzy.html)

And a very rough character test done with the NEW tools and exporter in Cinema R8.012. The poorly created buttons are:
(from left to right)

walk, stand(bounce), slower, faster

(Just a rough test) (http://www.allmediadgproofing.com/MAXONsupport/monsterMash.dcr)

(same test but using Director's #toon modifier) (http://www.allmediadgproofing.com/MAXONsupport/monsterMash2.dcr)

Something to note is that Director is handling this rendering in realtime. And notice the motionblending that takes place when you switch moves.

Niiiiiiiiiiice.

You should have posted screen shots to make the post more engaging.

Excellent job of combining director and C4D.

Very very well done.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but where did you learn director?

Not at all. I have been working with Director since it was called Macromind Director. I think that was 4.x or somewhere abouts.

Just self-taught really. I have logged lots of hours with the Lingo dictionary and the "what's new in Director" books.

I'm interested in exchanging ideas with someone who knows Cinema well and knows some about Director.

I would like to have posted a picture, but I'm on a PC with a Mac keyboard!! is that sick or what?

Thanks for the kind words.

Looking for a lo-poly modeller?

You know... if you were going to use it for interactive 3D games/material/etc, I'd volunteer in a heartbeat.

I was once like every n00b thinking they could download 3d rad or 3d game studio and instantly make huge 3d worlds... I never got to far unfortunately!

Anyway... just food for thought....!

I just might take you up on it in the name of science...Of course this would be a two way experimental street. There is a major issue with the bones export in the Cinema implementation of the Shockwave exporter. email me privately if you like
