What's the best way of modeling a fist for my character ?

I'm not the greatist modeler but hey I'm trying...


should i just box model a hand and bend it to have a fist ?
I could make the hand and bend to make room for more animation possibilites on his hand

or i could have them as fists for the full time

(being using in a hand to hand combat animation)


thoughts / suggestions for an amateur ?

In terms of animation, always think reusability. So it would be best to model the full hand then make it into a fist with bones.
