NCsoft is currently seeking a Senior Environment Artist to join a highly creative environment and work on exciting projects in their Visual Art studio in sunny Santa Monica, CA. We are looking for highly skilled artists to create inspiring environmental artwork to be modeled in order to create rich in-game player experiences.
Basic duties:
Creates artwork that serves to bridge the concept art with the final modeling and lighting. Creates mood and effects paintings, details and color keys to communicate the final vision to the production team. Works under the direction of art director.
What we’d like to see in your portfolio:
- Color keys
- finished paintings that reflect an ability to communicate art directions to the CG team (lighting, value, effects, texture).
- Designs with architectural and environmental elements (stone, water, smoke, forest, etc.).
- samples that show strong lighting/color sense and flexibility in style.
- some samples of designs(line work) for modelers; ie line production drawings, isometric detail work
