Hey guys I'm in a bit of a pickle. I need to get a max7 file to open in max6 and when i try to export to thigns like 3ds, what i import looks like terrible (meshes are tessilated and the scene isn't centereted correctly) etc...
Any suggestions for getting this to open up in max6?

Impossible for me to say for sure, but I export objects to OBJ, and make sure that all meshsmooths are removed first. Hope this helps.

Please, use the "Search" function before posting. Exporting to previous versions of MAX is one of the most done to death questions on this forum.
To save you the trouble: MAX will split edges according to UV's when exproting to .3ds. What most people use is the BFF (Bobo's File Format) script, which is available at Scriptspot.
