Can i export the images or bake to an object?
Or is thier a way to render a 360 degree panorama in C4D.

I don't seem to have the Bake preset in my content folder.

I reread the manual... And this is what it says....
1. Create a sphere and apply a new material. Leave "Render Perfect" active.

Okay Objects - Primatives - Sphere + File - New Material..

2. Select “Bake Texture...” (“Render / Bake Texture...”).

Okay so it needs to have a texture added too before Render/Back Texture is available.

3. In the tag you just created, activate “Reflection” only. An output size much wider than high should be selected.

I disabled color and specular boxes and checked only reflection, i have no idea what the output size thing is?

4. Click on “Bake”. When using Sky (Advanced Render module), you will get a texture that looks like this:

I just get a black image no sky no image to map to a sphere, anyone have any ideas?

I've tried various things to combat the problem with no luck, anyone else have any luck?

The new option for cylindrical panoramas won't work with objects of infinite size (like Sky, for example) so in such cases you have to use the good, old trick that Imashination had mentioned above.

It works like a dream. Basically what you have to do is to put a 100% reflective sphere on the scene and then simply bake its reflection channel into a texture:

1. Create the sphere and the sky
2. Create a new material with all channels off except for the reflection channel, that should be on and at 100%
3. Drag the material to the sphere
4. In the object manager select the sphere and the texture tag
5. Main Menu - Render - Bake Texture
6. In the Bake settings under the Tag tab, Filename enter the path to save the texture
7. Enter the desired size in the Width and Height fields. For a 360 panorama I suggest 2:1 ratio.
8. Under the Options tab check Reflections
9. Click the Bake button (The Preview button won't work, don't ask me why - but the bake button will!)

Have fun.
