View Full Version : Fairly odd racer
ingramworks 01-29-2006, 03:56 AM Hello all, thought I'd share an early version of a racer model I recently completed. It's gone through several changes due to changes in the project, but this version is my favorite. It's an odd mix between a buggy and a bike, the engine is hard to explain, but it makes sense in the project. Anyway, it was a quick make but I'm overall pretty happy with it. C&C's always welcomed. Modeled in Cinema 4D. Thanks

Looks great, man! What kind of project are you making this for?
It may just be that you haven't gotten to this level of detail yet, but I think it needs some welding blemishes at the joints--they look too perfect, if you know what I mean.

Great design man. I like it much.
I think imc is right with the welding blemishes. The crowns of the fork and the tubes connected to your hub (sorry, don't know the correct word in english) seem a bit weak. Maybe check some photos of motocross forks and you'll know what i mean.
Keep it up!

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. I totally agree on the weld points and the struts, unfortunately the time budgeted for this guy just dosen't allow me to go back and add what I'd really like to. We're heavy into the last part of the projects production, I'll share a final rendered version of it when I can. I hate when you have a neat idea but just aren't allowed the time to really flesh it out like it deserves. I may just come back and finish it out properly for my own piece of mind a reel.
Thanks again :)
