Well, I didnt draw them, cuted n pasted em into a big picture, then adjusted each face so the light/shadow was equal...Then I added some more shadows with the airbrush...After that its just to smudge the whole thing Hard work I tell you...


And this is the the cut n pasted photos I used...

So now you know how I did it...Haha,,,the newbie tells he's secrets...

How much do you care about how identifiable this image is as a photoshop smudge edit? Do you want it to be such that the smudging does not read as 'photoshop'? I think it does right now.

Your technique is quite obvious... it kinda looks like a sketch as opposed to a finished piece. One thing I noticed is there's no real structure to the image; the faces seem to be thrown together haphazardly. Perhaps stepping back and blurring your eyes, you could move some faces, darken some areas, and create an interesting design.

That said, I do like the concept, and I think it has a lot of potential. :D

Maybe make it so that it's kinda like a smooth mosiac, so that you haev the images below, and then a layer above with what you want to show, and put it to say colorburn.
