View Full Version : maya 5 chasing it's tail at startup??

Hi, having a bit of a problem, maya5 wont start proper, loads the splash screen, output window and main Maya window opens up, after that it all comes to a halt, have tried to wipe out user prefs, did not change that much, cant figure out whats going on with it! anyone with any ideas what can be the problem??

nevermind, it was a old beta install of mental ray that was the culprit

edit, not done, it's mental ray thats chasing its tail it seems, maya loads fine, and mr seems to have probs loading, using mr 1.5 for maya 5.01, crappy thing is that I am about to render out a few seq
