Painter 9 has decided to crash on a regular basis

This may be a silly suggestion, did you try reinstalling the program? and if so contact Corel and see what the problem is they should be able to help being that it is their software.

Maybe you are startong to get more adventurouse now? Are you using a higher res? More layers? I find I can get problems when I do that. Also, did you make sure to install v9.1?

More memory might be the answere, otherwise just make lots of backups.
