View Full Version : inter-particles collisions
seb4d 12-08-2002, 02:17 PM Hi,
I'd like to make particles (from the same emitter) collide between them.
I can't find a way to do it in Maya and I'm not sure it is possible.
Any idea ?

Make each particle the source of a radial field. You will have to play around with the radius of the field a bit to get it to the size of your particles, but it does work.

ok I'll work on it, it seems a good idea.
Actually the radial field will work as a repulsion force between the particles, am I right ?
Thanks again ! Bye.

I have written a tutorial on this exact procedure, it's on Highend3D but here's a direct link:
