View Full Version : rotoshape animation
Leggs 01-26-2006, 11:07 PM I am doing a bit of rotoscoping so I thought it would be a good chance to get comfortable in shake. After the roto work was done I wanted to make some adjustments to key frames in the curve editor. But I can't figure out how to get the key frames for each idividual control point on my roto shape to show up in the curve editor. I can only get very basic properties for the entire roto shape. Is it even possible in shake to do this?
Thanks in advance

you can't. This has been a widely requested feature for quite a while.
Use Combustion or even better Silhouette Roto if you want fully controllable roto.

thanks for the info beaker. It is really disappointing that such a strong compositing package is missing what I would call a basic and neccesary feature.

Yea it sucks. Silhouette is an awesome roto package and you can export the actual splines to just about any compositing package. Also there is a new Silhouette Render plugin for shake.
Also combustion is really nice too(for strait roto).

actually it is possible through a workaround. use a tracker to control your roto control points and key the tracker.
