View Full Version : Turning frames into movies
Inzomnia 01-26-2006, 07:58 PM Yeah this is a noob question but hey we all start from the bottom. I've got a sequence of 600 frames that I need to turn into a short movie but I'm not sure how to do it exactly. What program can convert these frames into something like a quicktime .mov or an .avi? This is my first time messing around with generating movies so I'm pretty clueless as to where to start. I tried rendering out a straight .avi using maya but that came out pretty bad and it can't be edited like individual frames can. Can someone help me out?

You can use any compositing or video editing program that imports numbered stills (sequences), for example After Effects, Premiere, Digital Fusion and many more.
