best rendering setting

i have a movie edited, with effect and stuff now i want to render it as a movie for a DVD purpose... can you tell me the best setting?...

i know uncompressed avi is good... but let me hear your say :rolleyes:

i'm confused with all this format...and compression

QuickTime, Mped,mpeg2-dvd, video for window,

and under avi ...
BMP, CINEPAK, DV-PAL - DV/DVCPRO/ iNTEL VIDEO :cry:


I'm confused tell me the best of the best setting please.

DVD's always require MPEG-II. If you have the Professional version of AE you can export it directly. Just choose one of the templates in the exporter. Try to maintain as high as possible data rates. If you're using an external conversion program, use an uncompressed output. If you could provide more info, we might be able to help you more (length of clip, ehat else is on the DVD, has it audio etc.)
