That weird guy who keeps staring back at me whenever I look in a mirror.

This is a selfpotrait I did in Painter 8, I only used a mirror as reference guide while painting. Finishing touches were done in Photoshop 7.

I'm very honored to announce that it's included in the portrait section of Ballistic Publishing's new book 'Painter'.

Oh, congrats! The color scheme works out very nicely here, and it's a spot in the book well deserved. Many self portraits are very exuberant and ends up making the person in comment seem much too... pretty to be plausible (yea, the 'fantasy me' thing is all good and all, but I don't think there really isn't a point of doing a self portrait in that sense; it's all about showing the every day you. ^^) The caution of that is wonderful here. Everything careful, nothing overdone.

And haha.. nah. Not as queer as the girl with the big nose staring at me. And she makes these weird faces at me. o.O Huh. Stalker.

Monkies > :D Thank you very much! I'm very happy to hear that, I tried to be honest about my looks in the portrait, I eliminated a zit or two - but it's pretty close to the 'everyday me' although I smile more often.
