Is there a way to choose which parts of a texture node are visible using another grayscale image... So that the texture will only show where the image is white and be transperant where it is black?
I have a brick wall texture and I was thinking of adding a moss texture to the color... But I only want the moss to be added between the bricks... I would like to use the bricks' bump map to control where the moss texture is shown.
I did it in PhotoShop to illustrate my point:

You can leave the brick texture as one layer, then create a multi-layered material and put a "moss layer" on top of the brick. Then use a map as the alpha channel for the moss layer to kinda' cut it away in places.

Thanks for the help... But I already did this with a blender node... For some reason the two posts following the original one were deleted.
You can see it at http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29650
Thanks anyway.
