KillerCube 12-02-2002, 03:06 AM how do u put a picture in 3ds max...like the picture u want to look at when ur making the model...cuz i have seen it ina couple tutorials but never got how to do it

Make a plane (with correct proportions) and apply a texture that has the image you want to use for the template. Make sure you check the "show in viewport" for the diffuse channel on the material.

You click on "Views" in the main toolbar then select "Viewport Background..." then choose your file. If you want your image to stay locked during zooming/panning then check the "match bitmap" and "lock zoom/pan" options.

Do it as visualboo told you.
But rise selfilimination to 100(color off) if you want to see the ''picture'' well on the template.
