im using 3ds max 8 why is there no interpolation for the helix spline anymore i cant adjust the amount of segments and vertices. i really need to create a quick spiral but than edit it alittle but when i convert it to editable spline im left with hundreds of vertices i remember from older versions of Max i had more control over this spline object, what happen now i find myself creating a spiral from scratch and its a real pain in the ass.

With the exception of the Renderable options added in R4 (I think) and the defaulting of the Segments to Curve around R6 or 7 (they used to default to Line), there has not been any changes to this shape primative. Use the Normalize Spline modifier to control the number of line knots.

thank you so much i wond up making my spline from a edge loop off a spring object but the normalize spline modifier will help to i didnt even know that existed.
