Hi

I dont really know what im talking about here so bare with me :) Lots of people have told me that a blinn material in Maya gives a wet paint look, a wet surface look. Is this true?

If so does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to use and apply a blinn material.

Something about a spec roll off ?

As you can see.. i dont know Maya very well yet :)

hey,

every material with a spec and reflectance attributes can create a wet look. With a Blinn material you have more atrributes to control the spec than phong for instance.
For wet surfaces I mostly use layered shaders... for better control.
