degstenk 01-23-2006, 11:14 PM Hi everyone!
I have a short question, in 3DsMax you can use your geometry as bones, is that possible in Maya to?

Oh no, I think he's talking about something slightly different John. I know in a previous, proprietary program anything with a transform node could be used as a joint... Geometry or whatever you want. It's not quite so with Maya, although you could take your nurbs curve or poly geometry, I do believe, and take it's shape and do a shape parenting to your joint, so that anytime you select that geometry, you are actually selecting the joint, pretty much the same thing, more or less.

oh, you actually mean to put ik on? etc
not just to bind to??
then sure, select the shape node then the joint and use
parent -r -s;
