Hi:

I was just curious if anyone knows any websites that discuss how to create storyboard animatics? I'm refering to the handrawn animatics that have slight movement; not 3D animatics. If you have the 2 disc DVD "Castaway" or "28 Days Later" there are examples of what I mean. I'm assuming that After Effects is used, but I just want to be sure. Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated. Thanks!

Yeh if your going to make your animatics like that the best thing to do is to create the art as layered photoshop files then import them into After Effects as comps so that you can animate the layers with simple multiplaning and the like... After Effects is the right tool for the job...Good Luck.

Thank you so much for the info! When I finish the project I'll see if I can post it here.

I know you already got your answer... but in case you're interested, After Effects is the tool that I use all the time. I work as a storyboard and animatics artist all day long. You can check my animatics out at www.MonkeyMill.com. They were all created with After Effects.
