Hi guys,

I'm using Painter 8 and I'm wondering how you guys make a decent ink line for a drawing. Up until now I've always scanned my inked work and painted over with my Wacom. I'm just trying to draw directly on computer but my ink lines are well, not on par with my traditional work :P

Any tips or tricks ?

Thanks,

Gianmichele

The most important is to set the min size (to minimum) and the max size is adjustable on your demand and don't forget to enable brush size by pen pressure.

Try my pen brushes and check the settings.

Hiya,

I've written a very detailed tutorial on this subject, in Painter you need to use either the simple Camel brush or the Liquid Inks. It's all explained in detail:

here's a sample with Liquid Inks:

No problem glad you found them useful, you may have to adjust them to your taste later on.
