View Full Version : Land Rover WIP
knight42 11-30-2002, 05:43 PM After a quick sabbatical to go through Release 8, I've done more work on my Land Rover model.
Some of the textures are still a bit wonky, and the lighting generally sucks. I will eventually build some kind of barn or out-house around it.
C & C welcome.

glad to see youre keeping us up to date on this one. like the way its coming along. i'd love to see it in the desert....eg english patient dunes etc....the would look fantastic....or maybe in a forest...tough call though...even so it looks very good...just a case of tweaking really.
(don't like bumper mapping maybe, more dirty and grime also. maybe paint flaking/erosion on number plate, dirty tires, more chips and scratches etc....but i know youre working on all that so keep us up to date bud....coming along good, nice touch)

I'd turn up the AA and I'd add a really bright (100%+) front light in.
I dig the model, though!

flingster: everythnig you said is what I'm working on next. I've got the paintwork looking pretty dusty, but it needs to look a bit more beaten up. Could also use some FFD's to dent and bend the bodywork, too.
That Adrian Guy: AA has been a problem with this from the start. I'm using Geometry with Still Image - ISTR someone said Best wasn't worth the rendering tme. Should I be using Best?
I put a couple of UserData sliders on it with Expresso, so I can control the steering and windscreen wipers! :bounce:

Looking really good. Love the windshield texture where the blades have been.
Keep it up.
