I have a unique problem.
I set up a scene in 9.5. And I used a good bit of displacement in the renders. When I set off a render in 9.5, it was taking extremely long to render, but I found that by switching off the 'sub-polygon displacement' in the render settings options, it rendered at normal speed of what I was getting in the viewport. It doesn't seem that I am turning the displacement off, because the materials still looks displaced.
However, another friend has a machine with 9.0 on it, to help with rendering. When I take the file over there, it's rendering really slow again, but there isn't a switch for 'sub-polygon displacement' in the render settings options in 9.0, so I can't really figure out why it's moving so slow.
Does anyone know what the deal is here? I would so love to utilize this other computer for rendering, but it's pretty useless right now. It's rendering about a third of a frame in 25 minutes.
Thanks for your help.
