Hi All

Guess what!
I just got max 8 and istalled it.Opened my old max file (ver 7.5) and instant error.

""ERROR LOADING BIPED" and the best part was, IT NEVER HAD A BIPED!

The only option was to say OK to that message. The moment i did that i get another message

"INVALID FILE: ONLY PARTIALLY LOADED"

The moment i said OK to this message i get another message saying

"File open failed and the filepath"

Saying OK to this message crashed the application.

Plsss help me out with this...pls

regards

Sandy

I'm sure that this isn't it but since I've seen this exact error before, I'll put it forth. Are you sure that you weren't trying to load a file previously saved in max8 into max7? Doing so will give the biped error.

all max files on my PC are saved with max 7.5 and i was for sure opening them with max 8 when this error message came.

hey i guess this is an old thread, but im having this exact problem with MAX 9. Any ideas? It keeps crashing my file, and then not letting me load it back up.

I'm not sure, but I have a problem where if I have a Biped in the scene and then load up a rendering preset and save the scene I won't be able to open the file again without it giving a biped error. The only thing I can think of to fix it is to reinstall Max, but your files will still be messed up.

I figured out the problem. Go and get the service pack from Autodesk. There's a biped error that service pack 1 fixes.
