View Full Version : Winter Forest
DigArts 01-18-2006, 08:59 PM Simple winter scene done mostly as a test. The idea for the snow was flat lighting, but it should still have some shading. Not sure I'll ever get around to it. Original is 3000 pixels.
I've posted some freebie examples of the tools used to paint the forest, which work with Photoshop (layers), Painter (nozzles) and PSP (tubes). I'll try to post a Gimp version later today. http:www.gardenhose.com/treelines.htm (http://www.gardenhose.com/treelines.htm)

I think I would cut a little of the sky away. But it definately looks good - I mean the trees ....
Nice perspective and everything. Perhaps a little more texture to the snow in the foreground - I'd prefer some blue colors added.
Thanks for your generosity - I haven't downloaded right now, but perhaps I will.
Wish you would do other things than trees - like diamonds, rubies - all kinds of gemstones for example. I need it RIGHT NOW !:scream:

They look really good as all your products look. I have bought a lot of them and I just love everyone of them. Plus, they always look better than the display pictures.

Wow, thanks motyka. As a user, you've got some good news coming in the next 24 hours or so. So look for our email.
If you own Grains & Grasses, I hope to do the same kind of thing done with those; that is, create assorted cluster versions that will work similar to these trees only as grasses and grains.
That's a ways off, however, and sufficient underwriting for the time required is uncertain. Just saying what I hope to accomplish near term.

Well, I will say that these display pictures are better looking. These look great.
