I just posted my reel on my new website. I am the former CG Supervisor at Quiet Man and now freelancing in the New York area as a 3D Artist. Enjoy.

andersonko: Thank you. Its been great working with you as well. Hopefully we'll work together in the near future again.

Ranimate: Thanks! Two of us recently decided it was just time for us to move on to bigger and better things, hence our "dual" departure.

Mattmos: Thanks!

This is a marvelous work!!! I like the way the elephant is rigged, saves a lot of extra job. That discthrower statue is wonderful too.

Thanks Chikos. The ear rig is mostly procedural using XSI's spring operator. You can tweak how flexible or stiff it is to add an extra level of control. Usually I don't like mostly procedural options but in this case it worked great.

Whoa! Excellent reel! I enjoyed viewing your reel, especially when showing the elephant rig. How do you set up the secondary action on the elephant's ear? I'm trying to set it up in Maya 7, on a fish's tail, but I don't know how. Is there any tutorial you could refer me to. Great reel Krisr!

Nice job Kris, the reel is fantastic. Some of those jobs were a lot of fun to work on, especially Elephant and Statue. Keep it up dude, perhaps one day we will cross paths again.

awesome reel Kris -

just as CKL said - interested in how you did the procedural rig for the elephants ear - any tips or links to look at for that kind of stuff?

also - I have always liked that Visa boat commercial - how exactly was that done with the boat and all of the stuff on the counters falling off and such.

Good luck with your freelancing!
