"December"
We will do ALL 12 months on the calendars for 2 weeks, OUT OF ORDER.

Have fun
We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
*ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

In the desert, we're hard pressed to get much snow. I spent a lot of time doodling and got rid of my original painting. I didn't know how to portray this and I don't think it works as well as I would like it to. A somewhat graphic representation.

This is my 3rd calendar post - 'you're not hardcore'

I have to admit - This disturbed me...

picture removed ga ga ga

5 hrs, photoshop.
I wanted to paint the whole thing - but it took so long - I sourced a photo from the internet for the background - tiled a brick texture and took photos of my friends... then decapitated them :D

High Res (http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/262/december1fb.jpg) (1600x1200) PhotoRef (http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4576/basementref5od.jpg) I used

It turns out the 'photo' I used is actually a Painting (wow a painting?!) by Gary Tonge (http://www.visionafar.com/) - (Lady Medusa's favorite artist ;)) Which all of a sudden makes me a thief - Im sorry and Ill change asap - dont call me Dale Williams....

and oh yea - there looks to be only 30 days - where Dec has 31 - I always envisioned the serial killer to be carrying the 31st head - but didnt pull it off - maybe Ill edit it

Thany - nice to see you around - your pictures are always so epic they look awesome.

MattDixon - Congrats on the Spectacular Matt! masterful sketch

Miss Bogey - Damn your getting good at drawing that bear! Great one!

digital_embryo- Really nice looking pic, but that reference "photo" is not a photo, its a painting by Gary Tonge. Just telling so you get the credits right

A man who can deliver toys for the whole planet in one night is obviously a super hero.
My calendar is about Xtra ordinary characters, Santa Claus appeared to me as the "Hero of december."

2 hours 30 min PS/CS
