View Full Version : first modelling With Maya: a human head

well, here's my first experience with Maya and for now I still prefers much Max for this task. But I'm sure that I badly use the modelling tools of maya which I have a lot of difficulties to manage
Still a lot work to come for this head like the nose, the upper mouth or the ear to do...etc...
anyway, What do you think of it?

Not bad, really not bad. Max 5 in my opinion is superior to Maya for poly modeling.

Right done... You realy know how to modeling!
But the filtrum is too much depth and the wrinkles arround the eyes are a bit space...

Don't you think!

who was your reference? he looks a lot like Terrance Stamp.

I like ears like they are sorry :p
here is the reference I used, It is taken from a serie of pictures I took at the Louvre museum.
this roman sculpted head is typically what I was looking for my treacherous & power greedy character
