View Full Version : flyout buttons on custom toolbars

I'm re-customizing my max interface to fit the evolution of my workflow. I group my most commonly used modifiers into buttons on a toolbar which is docked on the left of the screen. I would like to group similar buttons into flyout toolbars, where one button is visible, and you hold down the mouse to show the other buttons -- the same functionality as the align tool flyout on the main toolbar.

I don't see how to do this with standard UI customization tools, and the term "flyout" (which is a different thing than "rollout") doesn't come up in my forum searches.

I'm sure there is a quick bit of maxscript to implement this, but I know nothing of maxscript.
I'm delving into it now, but there's a lot to learn before I get what I want, so I thought I'd ask.
Anyone know how to turn a toolbar into a flyout toolbar?

please and thank you.

Unfortunately there is no flyout access in maxscript.

That's what I gathered through researching of classes and so forth, but thanks for confirming. What a bummer.
