View Full Version : character to crit
deejayhore21 11-29-2002, 01:59 AM Hey guys, I'm new to this site, but I wanted to put up a character I did and see how I can improve it. I might want to convert her to cg if she is well received.

not bad....
most of the proportions look right...
but the hand on her left looks a little small...
a bit more detail in the robotic parts would be nice too....
but as I said before not bad...
good concept for cg:)

here is a back view of her, I do agree that the hand needs work. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I'd look for better ways to merge her mechanical parts to the fleshy parts. She looks more like a mechanized maniquin than an fleshy cyborg. The torso cut off is the part that makes it appear so, more than any other area.
Also, I'd work on the mechanics a bit more. Take a look at some anatomy books and try to conceptualize joints and mechanics that mimic how the human body functions (i.e. the pistons in the calf areas don't make sense because the leg doesn't move up and down in that area).
The bikini bottom isn't really needed either since that area is mechanized as well. After refining the hip joints, add some armor casings that mimic the bikini look - but look like they serve a purpose for being there.
Form follows function. :D
