Here is the system I will be building for my render only systems...could someone double check that I have not missed something:

This should be everything that I need. Note, I don't need any keyboard, mouse, video card, sound, or anything else as these will only be for rendering and will be controlled thru the network using vnc...I am assuming the HD ribbons come with either the case, MB or the HD. Can anyone see if I missed something, or mispatched something...thanks for your time.

Do you already have an OS that is paid for or are you going to Linux it?

Edit: I just noticed that you are going to use vnc over a network, I'm not familiar with this, do you still need an OS on the node?

If they were all XP pro, you could use remote desktop... rather than vnc

hum...I'll see if I can't afford the extra licenses...is it possible to dup a license just for a short time, until I can afford the legal license...this would only be for a week or two and would save me from having to reinstall xp pro over 2000 later...

Depending on your render engine of choice, you could just go linux. Free is better than pay right ;)
