Hi,

I'm trying to create simple shirt with max 8 cloth.

I did create base splines with editable spline and added Garment maker-modifier to it. Then setted seams(default settings) and applyed cloth-modifier. After simulation I did add Shell-modofier and after that HSDS-modifier.

So modifier stack looks like next:

HSDS
Shell
Cloth
Garment Maker
Editable Spline

Problem is next,

If you check my attachment image you can see there is seam problem. Just looks like seams doesn't weld correctly... I have seen http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=5903982 and http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=5903856 video tutorials, but there is nothing like my problem. Instructor just add those same modifiers and voila.

If someone could help me. Thanks.

Seam verts in garment maker don't ever technically weld together. Normally, I just use garment maker as a proxy object to drive a skinwrapped mesh object. But I believe you may be able to deselect those few verts in your HSDS modifier before you subdivide, and achieve the look your going for.

You will need to weld the vertices along the seams (with EditMesh modifier) before adding Shell and HSDS modifier. You may want to assign different MatID's to the various garment panels, too, in order to prevent loss of seam visibility altogether.

OK, I did add vetex weld-modifier before shell and HSDS-modifiers. Now all seams are welded, but naturaly there is no more look of seam.

Maybe it's better to model and then use cloth-modifier to it.

Try applying different smoothing groups to each panel.
