i have right now about 2,5k instances of the same object in my scene and its already quite heavy, now i need about 50k though and cant find a way to even create the instances, any nice way to handle so many objects? ( they have animation on them )

You could try turning the objects into box display mode for starters - whats type of objects are they?

Max really wont handle 50,000 objects very well. The scene would become a complete pig to work with. So, think out of the box i.e.

Create a number of scenes with smaller numbers of instances in but using the same camera. Then render each out separately and then assemble in comp.

Try combining several objects with one animation on it into one bigger object. i.e. if you have one animated dancer, try merging 10 of them into one animated mesh. Then you "only" need to create 5,000 instances rather than 50,000.

The best way to create these instances is via scripting.
